Ryan and Laci have been married forever. Like seriously… FOREVER. After a million years, 3 kids and more animals than a family should have, they still manage to like each other at the end of the work day.
Ryan has a background in IT and Laci raised the kids. Laci has always been creative and Ryan always supported whatever random dream she had. When she decided to take a chance on a little shop, he was right behind her pushing her forward.
Every time Laci says “So… What do you have planned for today?” he knows that some big project is ahead and after a few grumbles, he usually jumps right in. He loves to destroy, she loves to make things beautiful again. They work out to be a pretty good team (most of the time).
Ryan loves the painting, Laci loves the bossing. They love going on picking adventures together. For Ryan, it is all about the hunt, for Laci, its all about getting out of the shop for a while. Since they are both workaholics, getting away is a seriously rare occurrence!
Mikey Says… Be Cool… Shop Found Vintage Market.
Mikey came in one day and was so full of “youthful exuberance” that he almost didn’t make the cut. We are so glad we decided to take a chance on him and see past his many many quirks…
But seriously, Mikey is one of the hardest working people I have ever met. He is young and driven as both a student and maker. Mikey is the creative mind that has helped to make The Market on Maple such a smashing success.
He is a prolific furniture painter, turning out most of the pieces available in the shop, and has a great eye for accessories. Mikey is also bilingual speaking English, German and Whale… Come in and strike up a conversation!
Jess is just a small town girl living in a lonely world. She took the midnight train going anywhere and ended up in Omaha more than 17 years ago. As a mom to 6, she is great at creating something gorgeous out of nothing!
She joined Found in the very beginning when she showed up to help with our remodeling and just never left! She spends her time here painting beautiful furniture and creating the coolest projects!
She works in the shop most Thursdays and helps keep this store looking gorgeous! You can usually find her somewhere in the back practicing her whale translations while looking at vintage medical books and laughing with the crew.
Bayler is 15 going on 25 and makes sure we all know it. Most weekends she can be found at the front register ringing people up and making sure everyone has been helped.
She has a knack for making everyone fall in love with her as soon as they meet her. Whether it is her sarcastic wit, her adorable smile, or sparkling personality, she is definitely a force to be recognized.
She loves decor and business and wants to learn it all. She paints so many of the pieces that you see here in the shop and carries a line of custom shirts too!
I’ve been with Found since before it existed. The OG Vintage here! Like a cat ready to pounce, Im always on the hunt for my next piece. Meow!
Graphic designer turned creative maker. I like to think of myself as a cross between Martha Stewart and MacGyver (Does that make me seem old? Do people even know who MacGyver is anymore??)
Wife and mother of three, I’ve always had a creative knack for solving problems. I love finding something ordinary and making it extraordinary!! Getting to change up my creative routine makes my day. One day I’ll be painting furniture then the next I’ll be making a lamp and the day after cutting chicken wire and painting happy little trees.
I’m so very thankful I get to do what I love and help support my family and local small business!
Well… Sam… He’s the little blonde guy that you will find running around here singing Disney songs and talking to everyone about how he does his hair and his purple shampoo.
What you might not know is that he is also our in house photographer. He’s like really good at it too. I mean, don’t tell him I said that or anything but…
He is also our main Social Media guy. He’s the one posting all the giphy posts and usually the one that is good at getting back to people quickly.
Sam is always quick to chat and happy to help. He will always make you feel welcome with his warm “Welcome In!” so stop by and strike up a conversation with him. He’s good for it!
As soon as Amanda walked in our doors for her interview, we knew she was one of us! She’s a great mixture of wit, chaos and just enough snark to fit in! She is a hard worker and brings us new stuff all the time!
Amanda makes all our Hand stitched hats, shirts, hand towels and has now started bring us hand painted wall art! She is a whirling ball of talent and we are glad she shares it with us!
As our local carpenter, Scott is always building us cool things. We let him pick and choose what he wants to make and we are always amazed! While he is a pretty reserved kind of guy, after 2 years with us, we are finally starting to see glimpses of the real Scott come thru.
Sometimes he will make us a table, sometimes an accent piece but we know that whatever he makes, it will be built with perfection! As a full time teacher, husband and dad to 2, his time is limited but his talent is not!
He is one of our “Drop In" makers which means he just drops by when he has something made for us. We can do custom orders with him but when things are done well, they take time.
